Alpex Introduces Blu-Ray Format

Since April 2007, Alpex has closely followed the evolution of High Definition video, weighing the advantages of the major rivals in violet light technology: HD-DVD and Blu-ray. As a result, we found that Blu-ray is the ultimate choice in terms of durability, speed and transfer speed (up to 200 GB).

Alpex Chose Matrox

Matrox will be our supplier of editing cards and compression formats for High Definition. After an intensive evaluation of Final Cut, Avid, Canopus and Adobe software, our choice is Adobe Premier CS3, combined with the Martos RT-X2 video card (closely related to Intel). These, coupled with Blu-ray, offer the technologic advantage that ALPEX has always deliver for editing and image quality.

MPEG-4 for high-definition video

According to compression standards for Blu-ray, it is allowed to use MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 formats: the first processor uses less resources, but the MPEG-4 ensures higher quality, for the same amount of bits. That`s why our three edition labs are equipped with Core 2 Quad, for real-time efficient processing of your videos.
ALPEX staff`s commited research for the best technology available, makes possible for you, to get the best result in your memories on video.
